My PSP is acting wierd...help

Ok, for some reason my PSP is acting very oddly and I hope that someone over here may have a solution to the problem.  When I turn on my psp, the selection always goes to the left side (as if I was holding down the left D-pad button) and the up and down buttons don't work, and if I try to push the right button it quickly alternates between the two right most options.  What should I do?

Try holding down the power off button , until it's off.

Then try taking out the battery

Try taking out the memory card.

Are you using any homebrew application or any type of hacking?

If you are not using homebrew applications or any type of hacking, and this link doesn't help you, contact sony, they might be able to help you.
