Was thinking about picking up the PSP Slim...

Mostly for home brew (SNES and Genesis emulators) but after a few Google searches I'm in the dark on what I need to do. I've read something about a battery tool? Also what should I get to go along with my PSP as far as memory cards go? Thanks and sorry I'm a noob.

I am in the same boat here, I have been looking this up online all night, and am getting nowhere. Most places seem to use a lot of insider lingo and stuff that I just don't get. (maybe that makes me stupid) Is there a resource that will tell me step by step what to do to hack a PSP2000 with out using insider jargon.

I have come across a few links in my search to downgrade or install CFW on my Slim which might help:

That page seems to have a lot of info on what you are asking, although I have not read the whole thing so I do not know how much is insider lingo =P.

I can tell you that a Pandora Battery is a battery for your PSP that has been modified to put your PSP in a special mode at startup so you can fiddle with your PSP in ways Sony never intended a layman to. Magic Memory Stick on the other hand is a term I have not tracked a defenition to...

Hope this helps you in some way.
