Hardware Maintainance

Hi guys! Am not sure if this article should go here, but I didn't know where else to put it.

Anyways, my PSP is brand new, and am new as well to this community, but due to some reasons, the screen got scratched so badly that sometimes it can affect my gameplay!! Is it possible to replace the cover on the screen?

Thanx in Advanced ...

That really sucks! In Auri's book, hacking the psp, there are instructions on how to take your psp apart and how to replace the screen. I believe you can buy a new screen online, but beyond that I don't know. You wil have to buy the book if you don't already have it to learn how to replace your screen.

Re: Hardware Maintainance

It’s really easy to change the faceplate. It’s only seven screws for the faceplate itself and two more for the analog button. But a word of warning, if your psp is under one year old (or if you have taken extra warranty out on it), removing the faceplate will void your warranty. Removing and replacing the faceplate should only take you say 10-15min to do. It’s that easy. Then when you’ve put your new faceplate on, get a screen protector. They don’t cost much.
