Sony Japan to release 2200 mAh PSP Slim battery
Finding it a little annoying having to buy a new cover just to be able to load the PSP Fat's higher-capacity battery on your Slim?
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is sending word that they're preparing to release a 2200mAh Battery that comes with its own extra-large cover.
The expanded battery will give your Slim nearly double its original run time, with up to seven hours of game time, or 7 to 9 hours of movie viewing time. The colors provided for this battery's cover are piano black, ceramic white, and silver ice.
For those who are wondering, the Blume series covers are expected to arrive later on. Sony will be releasing this new Slim peripheral in Japan on March 19 for an expected retail price of 5,500 Yen (US$ 51).
There is still no word regarding a release in English-speaking markets.
