Korean Lumines HEN & Downgrader Now Available

The Noobz team has released another version of the 3.50 downgrader that exploits a buffer overflow vulnerability in the original Lumines UMD's game save files, this time offering compatibility with Korean copies of the game. That means that this version supports all unpatched region encoded Lumines UMDs and all regions of PSPs. Head over to the homebrew software library to download the newest version and remember that firmware modifications can potentially render your PSP completely useless so use this software at your own risk.

Sony draws up Leipzig battle lines

SCEE boss David Reeves says E3 was a phoney war

SCEE's president and CEO David Reeves has told MCV that E3 was a phoney war, and that Sony will let off the first of its peak season “fireworks” in Leipzig next month.

Talking exclusively to MCV, he intimated that a series of big announcements will be made at the Game Convention trade and consumer show in Germany – massively enhancing the appeal of both the PlayStation 3 and PSP.

“We prefer to make our big statements in Leipzig, it suits us much better,” Reeves told MCV. “Yes it has been a bit of a slow summer, but we feel that we have kept the momentum going.

“There will be absolute fireworks at peak, that I can promise you. We will be doing things no-one has seen yet for both PS3 and PSP.”
