Hardware Mod: PSP with internal camera and speakers

Rex over at Acidmods posted his new PSP Mod:

Greetings to all , just finished my mod. Introducing the Internal PSP Chotto Shot Camera Mod. Please if any one has any questions please feel free to ask them in this thread. With the limited space in the PSP phat I had to remove the UMD drive. We are working on a PSP Slim version as it looks now the slim version should not need the UMD drive to be removed. We will post tutorial soon.

Notes from Auri:

Hey Sony: When are you bringing that PSP Camera to the U.S.?

I just got back from Japan... picked up a couple of the cameras... they work *great*... The later PSP firmwares have the camera software built-in, so you don't even need the software that comes with the cam... Joy :)
