CONTEST: MIAMI VICE (PSP)

From CHUD.com:

I love my Sony PSP like the morning coffee and granola wheatcakes I make when I have some energy. I love it. Lumines. Hot Shots Golf. Field Commander. So many solid games and whether or not UMD media goes down in history as the next DIVX, it's still a fun way to watch a movie.

I have a couple of copies of Miami Vice: The Game for the handheld for lucky Chewers with a little time on their hands and love in their hearts. I think Miami Vice was one of the better films of the year, so I'm stoked to play the game. Until I land a copy for myself I'll just have to live vicariously through you folks.

How to win?

I want you to sell me on a law that needs to be changed. Whether it's legalizing something or making something legal illegal. Or some laws that just suck. My wife is a Nurse Practicioner who has recently gone into laser treatment and hair removal after many years in the sad world of cancer and she recently informed me that Brazilians are illegal in Georgia. I mean, it's some old law that needs to be fixed, but it's just funny that this state at any time felt it was a crime to make your vulva easier for me to find.

Katamari-inspired Giant Ball Of Jeans Spotted In China

This article is here because... well, we found it amusing. After all, it's not really everyday that you get to hear news about a 16-foot ball of jeans being installed in a public place as a monumental art piece.

Remember the Namco game Katamari Damacy? The part where you have to push around this magical ball that can get anything to stick to it, and you need to push it enough to make a replacement star? Well, someone may have been playing this game a little too much and one day decided that he or she would do the exact same thing. The results of the effort weren't exactly enough to replace a star, but then again, at least they tried.

Not much is known about the purpose of this art piece which has recently been installed in Xiamen in China, and we have also not been able to find the name of the creator of this sculpture (either we don't have enough Googling skills or the artist has left out his name on purpose).

In any case, news reports have stated that:

"Visitors watch a two-ton ball made of a bulk of jeans in an exhibition center in Xiamen, east China’s Fujian province July 13, 2006. The exhibition is themed 'Fashion Slave' and every visitor has the chance to capture 5,000 yuan (US$625) cash reward if he or she works out how many jeans constitute the ball."

Personally though, seeing this giant ball of pants just makes me wonder how many washing machines it would take to get all that laundry done...

Comcast's web site HACKED?

I was surfing the web to find out more about CableCards and I jumped over to Comcast's web site. Well, I didn't know you had to learn Chinese to read it! Check this out! It was down for at least 30 minutes this morning - maybe it's still down? www.comcast.com

Enjoy!
