Maya 3D Model Exporter Released by Lumo (PSPUpdates)

Lumo has released a few more tools in addition to his MeshLoader that will help when exporting 3D models for viewing on your PSP. An Alias MAYA 7.0 Export Script to SMSH (Simple Mesh) written in MEL, also his SMSH to 3db converter, including the required cygwin1.dll which he states "now default color is green, next version will support vertex painted meshes!" The image on the right shows an example of how easy it is to export your image using Lumo's tools.

Another section of his site that caught my interest was his filter and blending modes page. Where imported images and the respected conversion image after adjustment are shown. Quite nice work indeed.

He has requested that if you know MaxScript (MS) to please contact him : lumo2000[AT]gmail[DOT]com

Homebrew: LostPorts Homebrew Pack v0.1

LostJared is a porting madman! In the last 24 hours he's released several ports of small (yet intriguing!) games and visual demos for the PSP. Now he's released a pack of several new games, along with his recent releases of Trail Simulation and Masterpiece 2.0, the last of which he has updated with a new mod. On top of all that, all the original Windows based programs and source code is included, so this is a perfect compilation for new homebrew developers and porters to use as an example. If you're one of those new devs, you might also want to check out Deniska's Porting Tutorial!

LostPorts Pack Includes:

  • Iso-Fractals Demo
  • MasterPiecePSP 2.0
  • SDL_mxf (for custom fonts)
