More PSP News: PSP to get price cut to $199!

Click to ZoomSony, makers of the wildly popular PSP portable entertainment centers, have announced the development of the PSP-290, which will sport GPS functionality, and the PSP-300, which will have a camera feature called EyeToy and a video and VoIP chat service. Both of these devices should be available for purchase later this year.

Also in the future for the PSP will be the ability to see images created with Macromedia Flash and an RSS feed, for download of both audio and video from Internet sources.

The true icing on the cake, however, is the announcement that the PSP retail price will drop to US$199 by April 1. To bad these new features won't be part of the new low-cost model.
