Midway drops new titles to PSP handheld
Midway Games Inc. on Monday announced the company's 2006 lineup for Sony's PSP handheld entertainment system.
The
new PSP games include NBA Ballers: Rebound in spring, Mortal Kombat:
Unchained in the fall, and a new RUSH branded racing game for the
holidays.
"In 2006, Midway will begin our strong support of the
PSP handheld market by bringing some of our top franchises to the
system," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway.
"All
of these titles are perfect for gaming on the go, whether it's a
pickāup game of NBA Ballers: Rebound, a quick race in RUSH or a fight
to the death in Mortal Kombat: Unchained."
NBA Ballers: Rebound
willl allow players to custom-create a character and go from wannabe to
an NBA elite. The game will include wireless 1-on-1 play.
Mortal
Kombat: Unchained will feature fast combat, new moves and combinations,
and exclusive characters and environments. The game will include a
fighting system built for Wi-Fi functionality.
The new RUSH game
for PSP will include jumps, stunts, and arcade racing found in the
trademark franchise. The final game will incldue five L.A.-like cities,
all-new Stunt Arena, more than 36 licensed cars and Wi-Fi functionality.
