(Off Topic): Playstation 3: Without A HDD?

Sony has recently updated their official webpage with "new" information regarding the Playstation 3.

Sony has officially incorporated a Playstation 3 section onto their official company website. While the majority of the alloted information has previously been revealed, the company's listing of the next-generation system may have revealed a surprising fact regarding the device.

The system's official page lists a HDD, or Hard Drive along with products like SD memory cards and Compact flash sticks as "sold separately". The news of this comes as a shock to many associated with the gaming industry, as Sony's forthcoming console has consistently been rumored to incorporate HDD functionality.

While the company's website officially identifies the device as a separate peripheral, official details regarding the Playstation 3 have not been revealed on the topic of storage medium. The Advanced Media Network will continue to monitor this developing situation.
